LEICESTER CITY vs LIVERPOOL (1230 ko)
Despite a run of indifferent form, the Foxes remain in third spot and within snapping distance of second-placed Man U, whom they will overtake if they put Liverpool to the sword in today’s early kick-off. The visitors’ form is like a roller coaster that's currently on the way down. Their recent away history makes dismal reading if you’re of the red persuasion. Brendan Rodgers will see this as a near-perfect opportunity to get one over his former employers. Watch for penalties. Draw.

CRYSTAL PALACE vs BURNLEY (1500)
Burnley are eight points clear of the drop zone, but that should still be too close for Sean Dyche’s liking. Palace look like they’re settling again for mid-table safety - or obscurity, call it what you will - so there’s arguably more riding on this for the visitors for whom each point gained raises the bar higher still for those below the dotted line. Draw.

MANCHESTER CITY vs TOTTENHAM HOTPSUR (1730)
City seem to have gone through their allotted annual poor form and are setting the Premier League pace, enjoying a 10 point lead over the reigning champions and a five point advantage over their neighbours in second place. With a game in hand over both. Meanwhile, Spurs – whose cock crowed rather loudly during a brief ascent to the summit – show no signs of halting their slide down the table and look to remain on course for a mid-table finish. Which will please their fans greatly. Home win.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs ASTON VILLA (2000)
With games in hand, a top five/six finish is still well withing Villa’s grasp. Seagulls are flying higher than most people probably imagined at the start of the season and they should end the year comfortably above the drop zone if they can keep accumulating points. Draw.

**SUNDAY**

SOUTHAMPTON vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1200)
“We want to go for the FA Cup,” says Ralph Hassenhuttl. And a quarter-final tie with Bournemouth is their reward for beating today’s opponents in their midweek cup game. Can the Saints repeat that at home, in the league, today? Yes, has to be the answer. The trickier question is will they? NFI. Draw.

WEST BROMWICH ALBION vs MANCHESTER UNITED (1400)
Is West Brom one gig too far for Big Sam? It certainly looks that way. He said in midweek that his side will have to beat one of the top teams to stay up (not to mention several non-top teams).

ARSENAL vs LEEDS UNITED (1630)
One of the English top flight’s classic games. At least, it used to be. Today’s sides may be pale imitations of their 1970s’ equivalents, but that arguably makes for an interesting battle between high energy and considered strategy. Should be a good watch. Home win.

EVERTON vs FULHAM (1900)
Fulham look doomed, but they’ve become hard to beat as we recently discovered. Everton have games in hand on the teams above them and a win today will propel them above us into fifth spot. Home win.

**MONDAY**

WEST HAM UNITED vs SHEFFIELD UNITED (1800)
It takes a mighty optimist believe that the Blades are now playing for anything other than pride. To be fair, they can indeed be proud of some recent performances – not least a narrow defeat to Chelsea last time out – after a horrific start to the season that virtually sent them down. So they won’t be easy opponents. We’ll have to be at our sharpest, or close to it, to bag the points. Which we will be. Home win.

CHELSEA vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (2000)
The start to Thomas Tuchel’s reign at Stamford Bridge has been quietly effective. No massive wins, just a steady accumulation of points that’s seen them climb back up the table. If it wasn’t for the sheer uselessness of the bottom three, the Barcodes would be in danger. Should be routine for Chelsea. Home win.

**WEDNESDAY**

BURNLEY vs FULHAM (1800)
Draw.

EVERTON vs MANCHESTER CITY (2015)
Away win.

Why did Liverpool sign that bloke from Preston? Can’t even get on the bench and they keep Henderson at centre back.

He is the one that posted FUCK LIVERPOOL on social media, right?
Not the other Turkish one who was banned for 4 matches for spitting at an opponent

Our performance against Liverpool, see Leicester’s today. High intensity pressing from the current champions has the foxes playing as poorly as we did

On the BBC website, the commentator delivers a money shot every time Liverpool touch the ball.

If it wasn't pathetic, it would be sad.

I’m looking forward to the Citeh vs Tottering HotShite game

I hate backing the rich teams like Citeh and generally due to the way game seems rigged to ensure they remain the most successful and get richer. But against the entitled, “us too” , pretenders of North London, I will for once hope for an embarrassing defeat for Jose and team by double figures

Re: Saturday football
It hasn't aged badly at all... Just because they've gone one down as most teams do to Liverpool doesn't mean we didn't have a different mindset.

Re: Saturday football
The fact is, despite unfortunate injuries and some bad form, Liverpool are still a very good team.

No shame in getting beat by them.
